Bass Lessons:
Students learn string reading, technique, coordination, and other bass skills through music. They build a repertoire of songs that they can play based on their taste and adjusted to their playing level. Requests are always welcome!
Bass is the anchor that makes the whole arrangement groove. Basslines can be simple or complex making it an easy instrument to get started with while leaving a lot of room for new things to learn. Bass styles can vary from walking, bouncing between root and fifths, slapping, fast repeated eighth notes, chromatic walk-ups, sparse hits, held long notes and more.
The thicker strings and fact that you usually play one note at a time makes it easier on the fingers than regular guitar. It has the same bottom strings (E,A,D,G) as the guitar and similar technique in building hand shapes. This makes it extremely compatible with learning before, after or at the same time as regular guitar.
